I didn’t get my blog out this past Friday, so I guess that means I need to pick a new time to be posting. I know I am definitely not going to get an article posted this Friday, because I am graduating on Saturday, and I still have quite a bit to do before then.
I’m thinking Mondays might be a good day to post. I like the idea of motivation Monday, and also the training schedule I’m planning on using would work better if I shifted to using a Monday post schedule. However, I also know that my work schedule for the summer will vary from week to week, so I don’t know how that will work out. For now though, let’s aim for a new post every Monday. Sound good?
Last week’s runs
Funny story… I only ran once last week. I know, that doesn’t sound promising for someone who is planning on running a half marathon by the end of the year.
However, on Thursday, Kathrine (my roommate) and I completed a three mile run. Usually, when we run we take a walking break after the first mile, and then one after the second mile, and so on. But, during Thursday’s run, we ran the first mile and then we kept running! I don’t think we stopped to take a walking break until we hit 1.25 miles. Honestly, I had forgotten that we usually take walking breaks. We’re making progress!
The weather was perfect for running on Thursday morning as well, which could’ve also played a big role in how awesome I was feeling that morning. I’m sure I wouldn’t have felt as good if the weather had been more inconvenient.
Wrap Up
I know, this week’s post was short and sweet. It’s pretty easy to keep the post short though when I only go for one run in a week. I also have a final I need to be studying for right now. I just wanted to take a quick study break to let you guys know what I was planning on doing schedule wise for the blog.
The next time I post I will be a college graduate! I’m super excited, but I’m sure my mom is probably crying right now. I know they’re happy tears though – she’s super proud of me.
Week 10:
Miles run this week: 3.02
Miles run total: 36.92
Overall mood: Motivated
